5 Things the Wrights are Loving

1. Sherlock on BBCscreen-shot-2016-09-13-at-10-57-27-am

Oh my goodness! Between Seth doing homework, classes, teaching, and grading everyday during lunch we always sit down together and watch Sherlock! I have tried before to watch Sherlock and could not get into it; however, now that I am not an undergraduate student I think I can enjoy the show more and have come to LOVE it! Seth was so excited when I told him I wanted to try and watch it again.

2. Monday morning coffee dates

Before classes started I told Seth that I thought it would be a really good idea for us to get coffee every Monday morning, not only because we LOVE coffee, but because it would give the both of us a chance to spend some time together and talk about goals for our upcoming week. Before we moved to New York, we sat down with one of the most impactful people in our lives and he told us to not only take care of each other, but also the importance of being intentional with our time when we are together. We want to make sure that in the business of graduate school and job hunting that we don’t forget about one another and our needs.

3. Houghton College

We have come to really be thankful for Houghton College and all that it will do to help Seth achieve his dreams. The campus is also totally beautiful, so that’s nice!

4. The Weather

Wow. The weather has been so PERFECT! Both growing up in Oklahoma, we are so thankful for this cooler weather during September and we can’t wait for Fall and Winter to get here!

5. Traveling

Next month, Seth and I will be traveling on our first trip out of state since being in New York (other than when we went to Canada a couple of weeks ago). Each year my Dad runs the Army 10 miler in Washington D.C. This year since he his overseas, Seth will be running for my Dad! Seth has been training for the race a lot, even amidst his crazy schedule. It will be a really quick trip to Washington D.C., but we are excited to see the Nation’s capital again! I will do a post on the blog after the race!

Until next time!!
